Seraphs in Middletown

To All Potential Save The Seraphs Benefactors:

Over the past week so much has transpired and so many good people have come forth that want to keep Mater Dei Prep open for another 50 years and beyond. However we need to do it the right way for every benefactor’s protection.

We need to set up a Public Charitable Entity (The Seraph Fund) with proper IRS Code 501 (c) (3) classification and federal ID number associated with it. In addition we need specific bylaws written that state the intent of the Foundation is to solely fund Mater Dei Prep High School. This process is one that unfortunately cannot be done overnight.

In the meantime we would ask that until the foundation is set up that everyone that wants to donate do so in the form of a binding pledge at www.savetheseraphs.org .  Once the Foundation is legally established you will then be asked to honor your pledge by Check, Credit Card, wire transfer, ACH debit, cash, etc.

This will be Phase I in the rebuilding process. Phase II which we hope will start immediately after phase I is operational which is making MDP self sustaining going forward. This will be done by instituting cost saving measures, and increasing student population. Our most recent Board of Governors has completed a very viable business plan that should be implemented ASAP. The final aspect of Phase II will be to return many operational needs of the school back to volunteers.

In the last week we are two of the hundreds of people who have come forth wanting to donate their time and expertise for the betterment of our students. If we stick together we can accomplish anything. Remember, “Many hands make light work”.

Respectfully yours,
